Changing your financial institution is a big decision for most people. As well, it can seem like an overewhelming task. We at Montana Educators' Credit Union think that the advantages of joining us, together with some tools we can provide you here, make the choice particularly easy.
On the next two pages are the 'tools' we are referring to:
- First, you'll need to take steps to close your existing account and we've included a form, that you must print & sign, to do that.
- If you have direct deposit to your current financial institution, you'll want to continue that here at MECU. We've provided a form to take to your payroll clerk or Human Resources.
- Finally, if you have automatic debits from your existing accounts to pay your mortagage, for instance, you'll need to coordinate with those institutions to do that.
